Indian Cultural Centre (ICC), in association with the Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF), Indian Sports Centre (ISC), and Indian Business and Professionals Council (IBPC), organised a Community Farewell in honour of His Excellency Mr. Vipul, Ambassador of India to the State of Qatar, as he proceeds on his next diplomatic assignment following a successful tenure in Qatar. The farewell was held on Wednesday, 22nd July 2026, at ICC Ashoka Hall.

ICC President Mr. A.P. Manikantan welcomed the gathering and delivered the felicitation message. Felicitation messages were also delivered by ICBF President Mr. Shanavas Bava, ISC President Mr. E. P. Abdulrahman, and IBPC President Mr. Thaha Muhammad. All four apex bodies—ICC, ICBF, ISC, and IBPC—jointly felicitated the Ambassador in recognition of his exemplary service and contributions to the Indian community in Qatar. Representatives of the associated organisations of all four apex bodies also felicitated H.E. Mr. Vipul, expressing their appreciation for his guidance and support during his tenure.

Addressing the gathering, H.E. Mr. Vipul expressed his gratitude to the Indian community for their cooperation and support, and reflected on his experiences and engagements during his time in Qatar.

ICC General Secretary Mr. Abraham K. Joseph proposed the vote of thanks. The event was attended by Mr. Sandeep Kumar, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of India; Dr. Vaibhav A. Tandale, Counsellor (Head of Chancery & Consular); Managing Committee and Advisory Committee members of ICC, ICBF, ISC, and IBPC; presidents of associated organisations; and senior members of the Indian community.
